Generous red with vitality on its side. Very good, you’d say.
About The Wine
This is a full-bodied, red-blooded example of Malbec from old vines in the Clare Valley.
The Gestalt duo have a great way of making big but balanced red wines. This Malbec shows plenty of vibrant dark fruit, a wall of moreish, chewy tannin and a long, sustained finish.
Mike Bennie awarded it 92 points with great praise for the wine's style.
If you're looking for a good value, delicious version of Aussie Malbec, this is a great bet.
This funky young label is the brainchild of Craig Turnbull and Anthony Pearce.
Gestalt (meaning an organised whole considered to be greater than the sum of its parts) is about balanced, youthful wines sourced from small organically grown vineyards around South Australia.
Whether it is whacky blends of uncool varieties such as Savagnin and Petit Manseng or pure single vineyard, single varietal expression, there is something about these wines which make you want to keep coming back for more!
