David Lloyd a leading exponent, and a pioneer of Gamay in this country.

About The Wine
The iconic Eldridge Gamay is one of the great cult wines of the Mornington Peninsula. Vigneron David Lloyd's vision to plant Gamay on his stunning Estate more than 20 years ago has certainly paid dividends.
He makes only around 6 barrels of Gamay each year, in a terrific vintage the scramble for an allocation can reach fever pitch.
The 2016 is a very good vintage of this distinguished wine. A little plusher and darker than the previous release, a more robust version of Eldridge Gamay but a charming one none the less.
Hitting the heights of 94 points from The Wine Front's Gary Walsh, this is a benchmark wine for the variety in Australia.
About Eldridge Estate
When David and Wendy Lloyd purchased the picturesque Eldridge Estate on Red Hill in Mornington Peninsula in 1995, their mission was, "to produce hand crafted wines of distinction that are true to the grape variety and the flavours from our unique site."
It's fair to say that more than 20 years on, that dream has been fully realised. David runs the property with zero carbon footprint, continuously searching to optimise the effiency and quality of his wines.
A deep dive into the right clonal material for the Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gamay on his small block has seen the wines of David Lloyd become respected as among the finest of Mornington Peninsula.
