Gee, this is very bloody good to drink.
About The Wine
Here's a great example of a modern Shiraz from McLaren Vale.
The fruit comes from three different vineyards across McLaren Vale that are up to 55 years old. Yes, it's ripe with all that big, beautiful fruit you want from this part of the world, but it has freshness and an energy at the same time.
A touch of Mataro adds a little extra somethin' somethin', dark and moody with a little x-factor. This got a solid nod from Jane Faulkner with 95 points in the Halliday Wine Companion.
A solid no-brainer for those who love Shiraz from this part of the world.
About Dodgy Bros
What started as a small garage winemaking project for viticulturalist Peter Bolte, has grown into a full-time fun-filled winemaking gig.
With fruit secured from top growers with a handshake, Peter, along with Canadian winemaker Wes Pearson and 'grower extraordinaire' Peter Sommerville are now making tasty treats in a wide range of styles from excellent McLaren Vale sites.
The Dodgy Bros wines don't take themselves too seriously. These are adventurous and energetic wines with plenty of personality.
