About The Wine
The CRFT Single Vineyard Pinot Noirs explore special sites around the Piccadilly Valley in the Adelaide Hills.
The Broderick vineyard is farmed organically by the Broderick family in the Basket Range sub-region of the Hills. It's a lighter, cisper expression of Pinot Noir - dainty and ethereal.
The 2016 release is their best to date. Made with around 25% whole bunches and a little carbonic maceration, this release is the lightest expression of CRFT Pinot Noir in 2017.
Pinot made with a gentle hand. It's a lovely expression of the Hills.
About CRFT
The CRFT story is an exciting, and ambitious one.
Husband and wife team of Frewin Ries and Candice Helbig both gained extensive winemaking experience for large companies like Cloudy Bay (Frewin) and Hardys (Helbig), before launching into CRFT with the 2013 vintage.
They only produce tiny volumes of all their wines, and their philosophy is all about minimally interfered with single vineyard wines that truly express the different sub-regions of the Adelaide Hills.
They have purchased a vineyard in the Adelaide Hills and continue to work with trusted local growers to produce their high quality, highly characterful wines.
