About The Wine
The CRFT Single Vineyard Pinot Noirs explore special sites around the Piccadilly Valley in the Adelaide Hills.
The Arranmore vineyard is now owned and farmed organically by CRFT duo Candice and Frewin. The fruit from this site gets better each year due to their careful tending.
The 2016 release is their best to date. Made with around 25% whole bunches and a little carbonic maceration, this release has a great balance of sweet and savoury characters and loads of charm.
This is a delicate, shy Pinot Noir with style and beautiful mouthfeel.
Give it plenty of air and it sings from the glass.
The CRFT story is an exciting, and ambitious one.
Husband and wife team of Frewin Ries and Candice Helbig both gained extensive winemaking experience for large companies like Cloudy Bay (Frewin) and Hardys (Helbig), before launching into CRFT with the 2013 vintage.
They only produce tiny volumes of all their wines, and their philosophy is all about minimally interfered with single vineyard wines that truly express the different sub-regions of the Adelaide Hills.
They have purchased a vineyard in the Adelaide Hills and continue to work with trusted local growers to produce their high quality, highly characterful wines.
