About The Wine
The Laissez Fair Field Blend is Larry Cherubino's take on a hands-off Alsatian white blend.
The 2016 vintage is a blend of Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Gris from Pemberton in WA. These wines are made with the influence of natural, organic and minimalist winemaking. While Larry makes the point that he doesn't adhere to any dogma associated with these categories, the best parts of these winemaking philosophies are distilled into the Laissez Fair wines.
This is fermented wild, unfined and unfiltered with several portions of the blend spend 5 days on skins to build texture and complexity. It's a very interesting take on this famous wine style. And one that can be enjoyed all year round.
