About The Wine
For the Ant Series wines, Sue Bell looks for interesting, emerging varieties from unsung regions and brings them to life.
Here's Tempranillo from Wrattonbully. With the natural richness of Wrattonbully wines, Sue treats this gently to make sure this stays juicy, vibrant and bouncy.
The vineyard is 20 years old, the maturity of the vines producing some seriously impressive fruit which Sue lets shine.
This is a great modern example of Tempranillo primed for tapas and good times.
Bellwether is the creation of Sue Bell - a woman regarded as one of the country's most talented (and hard-working) winemakers.
Based in Coonawarra where she now works out of an iconic old shearing shed, Sue works with a range of growers and vineyards around South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania to put together her unique range of wines.
All are made very much by hand, with minimal intervention in the winery and a focus on capturing the essence of each variety, site and season.
Wonderful wines well worth getting to know!
