About the Wine
If you're looking for a special treat to satisfy your sweet tooth, look no further - the Vin Doux is hands down the number one for fortified wines in Greece.
It's an explosion of summery fruited goodness in the mouth - apricot jam and melon dancing around with butterscotch and florals.
It's a versatile wine, too, being a great accompaniment to desserts, fruit or cheeses, or to spice up a little cocktail to impress at your next gathering. Or you could even serve it as an aperitif if you're so inclined. Any which way you choose to have it, it's delicious.
About UWC Samos
UWC Samos is one of the oldest cooperatives, and largest wineries, in Greece. Founded in 1934, they exist to hero the wines of the island of Samos in the Aegean Sea, receiving grapes from the growers in the area, turning it into wine and distributing it all over the globe. On the island, White Muscat reigns supreme - covering a whopping 98% of the Samos vineyards.
Samos has a rich history of winemaking (dating back to early antiquity) and is surrounded with prestige and mystique, even appearing in some mythological tales featuring Dionysus.
It's safe to say if you're looking for a world-class Muscat, UWC Samos should be at the top of your list.
