This is the first in our experimental blends, a single vineyard wine that came about because all these grapes ripened at the same time.

About the Wine
McLaren Vale icon, Steve Pannell never stands still. Constantly on the search for exciting and innovative wines to showcase his home region, the S.C. Pannell range is one of the most dynamic in the country.
His latest concoction is a unique blend of Touriga, Cabernet and Mataro. "This is the first in our experimental blends, a single vineyard wine that came about because all these grapes ripened at the same time." The fruit comes from his pride and joy, the Koomilya vineyard in the Vale. The three varieties were co-fermented from the day they were picked.
It's a fascinating wine, balanced, fresh feeling and one might say uniquely Australian. This wine is just the next step in Steve's plan to make wines that specifically reflect our culture and climate.
With five Trophies already under its belt, including Best Wine of Show at the McLaren Vale Wine Show, this small batch wine will not be around for long.
