I think and hope that this particular vintage of Syrah turns out to be one of the best wines I have ever made...
About the Wine
Since winning the Jimmy Watson Trophy with the 2013 vintage, this Adelaide Hills Syrah has become one of the most sought after wines in the S.C. Pannell range. And for those that claimed some of the '13, or for those that missed out, Steve has said himself that this is his favourite vintage of the wine to date.
It comes from a stunning vineyard in Echunga, in the south of the Hills that produces this remarkable fruit. Like all of Steve's wines it is built around bright fruit and beautiful tannins, and in a near perfect season like 2015, it really sings.
This is the embodiment of modern cool-climate Syrah. A classy and sophisticated wine driven by perfume and spice. It's stunning.
