About The Wine
This is Canberra renegade winery Mount Majura's signature blend.
The focus here is not varietal expression, but a sense of place and, “letting the character of the site express itself through whatever varieties are best suited”. All the fruit for this blend is sourced from a single vineyard on the Mount Majura estate. The wine this year is built from 49% Tempranillo, 36% Shiraz and 15% Graciano - three varieties that get along brilliantly.
The 2015 season has been hyped as one of the best for Canberra in decades, and you can really sense that in every drop of this wine. With a huge 96 points from James Halliday, this is the highest rated vintage of this wine to date. Creative alternative blends can offer very interesting drinking, and this is one of the best.
