This is a great bottle of wine. Marches to the beat of its own drum, but so lovely. Nebbiolo fanciers will be well rewarded.

About The Wine
Upsized version here of another stunning wines from one of Victoria's most energised young winemakers, Owen Latta.
For this wine, Owen extends beyond the family vineyard in Ballarat to the famous Malakoff vineyard in the Pyrenees, the source of some of the country's classiest Nebbiolos. In Owen's hands, this fruit sings. It's made with no additions save a little SO2 at bottling, a natural rugged vibe mainlined through the mouthpiece of the Nebbiolo grape.
Australian terroir and next-gen lo-fi winemaking working in perfect partnership. Nebbiolo lovers, your next dinner party is sorted!
About Latta / Eastern Peake
Is anyone working as hard as Owen Latta to put Ballarat in the mix of Australia's foremost wine regions? At only 15 years old he completed his first vintage at Eastern Peake alongside his father and has since taken on the full-time running of the business.
Owen is the man primarily responsible for both the Eastern Peake and Latta wines, the former of which being dedicated to premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Eastern Peake vineyard, and the latter being Owen's personal project all about innovation from a range of excellent central Victorian vineyards.
The wines are all gently brought to life with very astute yet hands-off winemaking, and Owen's low and zero sulphur wines are some of the best examples in the country. These are thrilling, absolutely unique Victorian wines, and quite simply Own Latta is one of Australia's finest young winemakers.
