About the Wine
One of the rarer wines of Quintarelli, the Rosso Ca del Merlo is the brother of the Valpolicella Classico Superiore.
The wine comes from their vineyards on basalt and limestone slopes, harvested for ripeness and acidity with the utmost care and precision given to every step of the complicated winemaking process.
The wine itself is a combination of richness and density, but like all Quintarelli's wines, never heavy.
About Giuseppe Quintarelli
Giuseppe Quintarelli was the 'Maestro del Veneto', establishing a legendary estate over a 60-year period. He is known as the father of Amarone.
Since his passing, the legacy has been honoured and continued first by Giuseppe’s daughter Fiorenza, and son-in-law Giampaolo, and now by his grandsons Francesco and Lorenzo.
The name itself stands for so many things, but more than anything, a way of doing things the right way.
It’s about more than just wine though. From, beautiful handwritten labels, to the best quality corks, to the exquisite wine in the bottles, the Quintarelli name is the ultimate indication of an artisanal, handmade, and uncompromising wine of the highest quality.
