About The Wine
A benchmark wine, against which all other Amarones are judged, Quintarelli only produce theirs in exceptional vintages - it is one of the world's greatest wines.
This cult collectors wine is primarily a blend of mainly Corvina with Rondinella and traces of Cabernet Sauvignon, Nebbiolo, Croatina, and Sangiovese. It’s warm and harmonious, with a balanced tannin structure.
So many layers and flavours to this wine, Quintarelli’s Amarone demands to be contemplated rather than just consumed. Always rich, opulent, sensuous and extraordinary, every vintage of this wine is truly a thing of beauty.
About Giuseppe Quintarelli
Giuseppe Quintarelli was the “Maestro del Veneto”, establishing a legendary estate over a 60-year period, and is known as the father of Amarone.
Since his passing, the legacy has been honoured and continued first by Giuseppe’s daughter Fiorenza, and son-in-law Giampaolo, and now by his grandsons Francesco and Lorenzo.
The name itself stands for so many things, but more than anything, a way of doing things the right way.
It’s about more than just wine though. From, beautiful handwritten labels, to the best quality corks, to the exquisite wine in the bottles, the Quintarelli name is the ultimate indication of an artisanal, handmade, and uncompromising wine of the highest quality.
