About The Wine

This is one of the best value premium sparkling wines in the country.

The Clover Hill team produces fantastic quality at all price points, this vintage version sits right in their mid-tier and may be the best bang for buck from the whole range.

A traditional blend made with a traditional method from what was voted Tasmania's Best Vineyard in 2016. All the ducks nicely in the row here.

In his raving 95 point review, Mike Bennie  dubbed it, "An outstanding sparkling wine in any terms." If you want a class act bubbles which won't bust the bank, this is a very good option.

The Wine Front

"An outstanding sparkling wine in any terms. It’s pretty in perfume, inviting with green apple, faint marzipan, a touch of funky-yeasty character, but everything just so and balanced. The palate is where the magic is, showing incredible precision, a tight, compact thrust of bristling fizz, lemon-squeezed on apple freshness, licks of sweet spice, glazed nuts and faint nougat, finishing epically long with sparkling, tangy acidity and a light chew of chalky-mineral character. Stunning wine." - Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)

Additional Info

From The Producer

Clover Hill sparkling wine is sourced from pre-eminent vineyards in Tasmania, an area becoming acknowledged as the premier location for cool climate sparkling wine in Australia. Clover Hill’s first vintage was in 1991, which solely comprised chardonnay. Since 1994, the blend has evolved to include all three classic sparkling grapes, with pinot noir and pinot meunier added to attain the iconic style.

Clover Hill is created using traditional methods. Furthermore, portions of this wine have been aged in small-format french oak foudres and barriques to highlight the complexity that can be achieved by a sparkling house of this calibre.
