This is the pinnacle of Bannockburn Chardonnay. The S.R.H. (so named in honour of late founder Stuart Reginald Hooper) is made exclusively from the twelve oldest rows of Chardonnay on the estate.
It is a wine of immense intensity, the most elite of the Bannockburn white wines. To put it simply, this is one of Australia's most individual Chardonnays. A single barrel. Full malo. Three years on lees. And yet, the vitality and freshness abound.
To drink this wine is to drink the Bannockburn vineyard, it's an experience not to be missed.
About Bannockburn
For decades, the Bannockburn vineyard has been producing Burgundian-inspired wines which truly reflect the winery's unique terroir.
Originally planted by the legendary Gary Farr, the wines that comes from this unique vineyard in Geelong show a rare sense of place. The ancient riverbed soils impart a distinct saline character and a power which makes the wines from this place immediately identifiable.
With the arrival of new head winemaker, Matt Holmes, the next chapter of Bannockburn's long history has commenced.
