About the Wine
A recent museum-release from the cool cellars of the Domaine, this is an outstanding value wine that demonstrates the immense ability of great Chenin Blank to age slowly and deliciously.
Clocking in at about 25 gms residual (at the dry end of Demi-Sec), this is not a botrytis style, but a poised, honeyed gem of a wine that still has a super racy character and length to savour.
Very limited, very recommended
About Domaine Huet
Founded in 1928 Domaine Huet is the icon producer of Vouvray, on the northern bank of the mighty Loire River. Across their three famous vineyard sites, Le Mont, Le Haut Lieu and Clos du Bourg they make wines of great concentration and longevity, realising the inner brilliance of Chenin Blanc.
One of the earliest adherents of biodynamic viticulture and winemaking, Huet was a low-intervention producer before the term was ever known, with no additions save for minimal sulphur.
