- The Home of Artisan Australian Wine!
There’s no denying that the King Valley is the home of Australian Prosecco and Sam Miranda makes one of the tastiest in the region.
This is a refreshing, perky style of Sparkling which is begging to be consumed in the warm Summer sun.
James Halliday thought it an “elegant” style and great value for money. Prosecco is becoming more and more popular and with delicious examples like Sam’s it’s not hard to see why.
What It Tastes Like
“Elegant, crunchy, clean and fruity, this is a well crafted prosecco that accurately captures the cool heights of the upper King Valley in nashi pear, lemon and fennel fruit, finishing refreshingly dry.” - James Halliday (Australian Wine Companion)
89 points & Value for Money Star “Elegant, crunchy, clean and fruity, this is a well crafted prosecco that accurately captures the cool heights of the upper King Valley in nashi pear, lemon and fennel fruit, finishing refreshingly dry.”

THE WINE A generous bead of bubbles with a pale straw colour, nice green apple aromas on the nose. Soft on the palate with a sherbet like acidity that finishes crisp and refreshing with a touch of complexity. A great style for summer and celebrations.
WINEMAKING The fruit was pressed straight from the vineyard with only the free run portion retained. Cold settled and fermented cool at 10C in tank. Made in the Charmat method of sparkling production the style favoured by many Prosecco producers.
VITICULTURE Grown on a North Eastern facing slope high above the picturesque town of Whitfield in the upper King Valley. A relative late ripening variety that we harvested once the varietal flavours peaked and the acidity softened.
Bottle Size: 750ml
Drink Until: 2018
The wine history of the King Valley is fascinating. What started as primarily tobacco farms run by Italian families transitioned to vineyards sporting Italian varieties. If you are hunting Sangiovese, Vermentino, Prosseco or aromatic whites like Riesling or Pinot Grigio, King Valley has a rich history with these varieties and, in many cases, multiple generations worth of history making and growing them. The intimate knowledge these winemakers have of their region and vines has seen the quality of King Valley wine improve year after year.
