About The Wine
The Cambridge Road wines are grown and made organically in the Martinborough, NZ.
The Papillon Noir is a wine made to be drunk in its youth.
Here Syrah and Pinot Noir combine forces into a soft, floral, sexy red wine of medium weight and charming personality.
It's just outrageously good to drink.
Only 889 bottles were produced.
About Cambridge Road
The Cambridge Road vineyard was planted in 1986 making it one of the oldest plantings in New Zealand.
Today the site is farmed by Lance Redgewell and his family, who work the vines according to organic and biodynamic principals.
Only Syrah and Pinot Noir are grown on the block. To broaden the horizons of Cambridge Road, Lance sources other parcels of organic fruit from like-minded growers bringing all sorts of colours and flavours into their range.
These are celebrated as some of the best examples of naturally made wines in all of NZ.
