About The Wine
Here's a killer little collab project wine between young NSW winemakers, Angus Vinden and Will Gilbert.
The two are great mates. They've teamed up in the past to make a little flashback red blend, and this year it's back and better than ever.
The great wines of Maurice O'Shea were blends of Pinot Noir and Shiraz. These mythical wines from decades ago are still some of the most collectable in the country (if you can find them). With that in mind, the boys blended Pinot Noir from Orange with Shiraz from the Hunter Valley into a smooth, slippery red that has drinkability written all over it.
About Vinden Wines
Young Angus Vinden is the owner/winemaker of this much-loved Hunter Valley winery.
Having taken the reins from his father just a few years ago, Gus is reimagining his family's wine label with a string of exciting, modern wines coming out of his cellar.
He sources fruit from some of the Hunter's greatest vineyards, focusing primarily on Semillon and Shiraz, as well as turning out a very good Tempranillo.
He's one of the young guns of the Hunter Valley that should have a close eye kept on him. His wines are on the up!
