About the Wine
A few years ago, Angus Vinden (of Vinden Wines) and Will Gilbert (of Gilbert Family Wines) decided to combine fruit from their respective vineyards to make wines together. They've carried on doing so for a few vintages now, and we're particularly fond of their delicious collaboration.
Their Lignee Rose is a 50/50 blend of fruit from the Hunter Valley and Orange, with the exact varieties used being somewhat of a mystery. One thing that isn't a mystery though, is that it's a truly delicious little Rose.Dry, refreshing and only available in magnum format, it's a wine built to share. Get in quick, too, as it's a limited release with only 667 bottles made.
About Vinden Wines
Young Angus Vinden is the owner/winemaker of this much-loved Hunter Valley winery.
Having taken the reins from his father just a few years ago, Gus is reimagining his family's wine label with a string of exciting, modern wines coming out of his cellar.
He sources fruit from some of the Hunter's greatest vineyards, focusing primarily on Semillon and Shiraz, as well as turning out a very good Tempranillo.
He's one of the young guns of the Hunter Valley that should have a close eye kept on him. His wines are on the up!
