Vanguardist

Vanguardist is the McLaren Vale-based label of winemaker Michael Corbett.

Michael fell in love with Grenache in the south of France in 2009. He was making wine in the Hunter Valley at the time, after seeing the potential for South Australian Grenache to be truly world-class, he packed up and moved to SA.

Today, Michael is one of the country's foremost producers of Grenache. His much-loved Rende vineyard in the sands of Blewitt Springs is the home base and the source of some of the best Grenache wines being made in this country. Always walking the line between power and poise, the wines of Michael Corbett are excellent and should absolutely be on your hit list.
