About This Wine
The depth and value for money element to the Fairbank range from Sutton Grange is unbelievable - and their Syrah is absolutely exemplary of this.
Northern Rhone in style, hence Syrah and not Shiraz, the nose is lifted with notes of dark and wild fruits and berries, alongside spicy depth. Medium bodied and juicy, there is loads of complexity and flavour, balanced with driving tannin and subtle oak spices to finish.
This wine nails it, everything you want in an Aussie Syrah, with boatloads of value.
About Sutton Grange
Based just south of Bendigo in Victoria, Sutton Grange was established in 1998, based on a conversation over lunch about how suitable the property was for grape growing.
With a well-established vineyard now, the story of this winery revolves around creating the best expressions of the estates terroir.
With organic farming across the estate vineyards, a focus on both classic and emerging varietals and styles, the Sutton Grange (and second label, Fairbank) provide exceptional variety, and value for money.
Simply put, Sutton Grange makes wines that people want to drink. And as the 2018 winner of the YGOW People’s Choice Awards, it seems we’re not alone in thinking that!
