About The Wine
The Rivulet Burnside Pinot Noir benefits from its super-ripe fruit, taking the drinker on a lovely voyage in flavour.
Tassie isn't well known for its warmth, but parts of it, such as the border between the Coal River Valley and East Coast regions, are known for the ability to ripen grapes over a long period, embuing them with intense flavours. The Burnside thus brings the goods with an incredible mix of fruit flavours and savoury characters.
Whole bunches, carbonic maceration and less ageing just some of thw winemaking techniques used to create this beautiful wine – but don't just believe us, try it for yourself.
About Rivulet
Rivulet Wines is the brand of winemaker Keira O'Brien, who decided to create her own label after having worked for other Tasmanian wineries. Her desire is to work with special parcels of fruit and have a "playful" attitude towards the winemaking, only releasing very small quantities of wine in the process; which is fitting as "rivulet" means a small stream of water".
O'Brien likes to make wines "with texture, precision and purity in mind", and she crafts them from well-known varieties such as Pinot Noir and Riesling, as well as rarer ones such as Sylvaner and Siegerrebe.
