About The Wine
This wine was made as a tip of a cap to the energetic, mid-weight red wines of the Loire Valley.
Michael Downer has been making big moves over the last few years looking for more drinkability in his reds wines. Keeping them fresh and light on their feet. This fits nicely into that brief.
It's Cabernet Franc made to be drunk in the warmer months, with a chill if you like. Loads of sweet berries and a lilting floral perfume. It's a sublime Summery red wine that's going to be a huge crowd pleaser.
About Murdoch Hill
Murdoch Hill is a family-owned winery captained by talented young winemaker Michael Downer.
Downer splits the range in two: his clean-cut, consistently high-quality ‘Estate’ wines are excellent value and perpetually reliable, and his quirky, adventurous ‘Artisan’ wines which offer an alt-styling and different shades of the region.
With the combination of high-quality Adelaide Hills fruit grown on the family estate and the undoubted talent in the winery, this is a Hills producer on the up and up!
