2018 Joshua Cooper Doug's Vineyard Pinot Noir
Josh Cooper is taking some of regional Victoria's best sustainable and organic/biodynamic vineyards and putting them on show.
This, the Doug's Vineyard Pinot Noir, is a beautiful depiction of the finesse and detail that gentle winemaking can create given the right fruit. A small vineyard in the Macedon Ranges, vines only 20 years old and producing phenomenal fruit, a young winemaker at the top of his game.
The 2018 is an intricate Pinot Noir, one that deserves contemplation and your finest stemware. Josh has turned out a very fine release this year, it shows fresh strawberries and some whole bunch spice with uber-fine, mineral tannin.
There wasn't much made and it won't be available for long.Read more about 2018 Joshua Cooper Doug's Vineyard Pinot Noir

With an all-star team and a plot of dirt this good, this is rapidly becoming one of Tasmania's most talked about and iconic Pinot Noirs.
From the excellent 2018 vintage and with another year of vine age and winemaking know-how on this great site, this is yet another excellent Pinot Noir from this site and team.
If you're a true Pinot lover then this wine simply demands a place in your cellar.Read more about 2018 Tolpuddle Pinot Noir
2017 The Wanderer Upper Yarra Pinot Noir
Andrew Marks is The Wanderer.
He is making some of the Yarra Valley's finest Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah, working with fruit from some low yielding vineyards in the Yarra Valley, his wines are amassing a big reputation.
His latest release of Upper Yarra Pinot Noir from the phenomenal 2017 vintage is a real showstopper - delicate and ethereal, detailed and complex, and downright drinkable.
Minimal intervention is his winemaking philosophy and it pays obvious dividends in this release. For top class Yarra Pinot Noir, this is right at the front of the pack.Read more about 2017 The Wanderer Upper Yarra Pinot Noir
2015 Rippon "Rippon" Pinot Noir
The 'Rippon' Rippon Pinot Noir, as vigneron Nick Mills describes it, is the voice of his vineyard.
This is a blend of all of the old vine Pinot Noir material growing on Rippon. It's the wine that year in, year out delivers the clearest picture of what happened on this small patch of land during that growing year.
It's invariably a beautiful wine. Elegant and beautifully poised, this is usually a softer spoken style of Pinot Noir than the more rugged Tinker's Field.
Lovingly grown, expertly crafted, it's no wonder this is one of the more unique Pinot Noirs of the famous Central Otago region.Read more about 2015 Rippon "Rippon" Pinot Noir
2018 Charteris Central Otago Pinot Noir
This, PJ's 'village' Pinot Noir, comes from a vineyard high up on Felton Road in Cntral Otago.
The aim here is to craft something that is complex yet approachable in its youth. PJ includes a little whole bunch which gives a gentle smokiness to what is lovely ripe and open fruit. It's a much more subtle and restrained style of Otago Pinot Noir and one that's immediately approachable.
Still, it shows plenty of power, plenty of fruit. It's a lovely example for the region which will only get better over the next 3-5 years.Read more about 2018 Charteris Central Otago Pinot Noir
2017 Benjamin Leroux Bourgogne Rouge
Benjamin Leroux's Bourgogne Rouge comes from a selection of plots across Volnay, Pommard, and Meursault with a smattering of fruit from Hautes-Côtes de Nuits above Vosne-Romanée and village and 1er from Monthelie.
It's a wine of great finesse and balance with an extra level of detail and complexity than you would normally see of red Burgundy at this price point.
It's the length, precision and extension of flavour that sets this apart from other Bourgonge Rouge. This is no clumsy, fumbling Burgundy, but an athletic wine of tension with red fruits and rosy floral notes to burn.
Another great release from Leroux and arguably his best under this label to date.Read more about 2017 Benjamin Leroux Bourgogne Rouge
