About The Pack

Is there anything better than a cool glass of Riesling while the sun is shinning?

Here's a few of our favourite Rieslings made in a dry/very dry style. These are crisp and pristine examples of the variety from all over the Australia with one from Germany for a point of interest.

Seafood in the sun, anyone?

2018 Crawford River Young Vines Riesling

There are a few names associated with Australia's best Rieslings, Crawford River is right at the top of that list.

This 'Young Vine' example is designed to be fresh, pure and energetic, but with the vines now over 15 years of age there is plenty of depth and concentration there too.

The 2018 vintage is a classic release of the usual high standard from the Crawford River cellar.

It is incredible to find such purity, such precision, such complexity in Riesling at this price. And with every year that passes, this 'Young Vine' offering becomes better value for money. Put simply, a delicious wine from an iconic Aussie Riesling producer!

2019 Rieslingfreak No.4 Eden Valley Riesling

John Hughes has a deep love of Riesling.

His unwavering commitment to it has seen him become one of the country's false artisanal producers of the variety.

This is his Eden Valley Riesling. The fruit is sourced from three vineyards between Eden Valley and Flaxman’s Valley.

It's made in a dry style, looking to capture the sublime characters of these brilliant vineyards. The quality is clear, the expression is pure.

This is Eden Valley Riesling in top form. A dead set bargain for any Riesling fan.

2019 Mada Riesling

The fourth release of Hamish Young's Mada Wines Riesling is another blinder.

Again, Hamish has played around with some skin contact and egg fermentation to amp-up the mouthfeel in this sizzling Murrumbateman Riesling. This is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after Rieslings in the Canberra region.

This is a smashing release from Hamish, a Canberra Riesling that feels electric to drink.

Get some while you can, there's very little of this available and the Mada Wines are in high demand.

2019 Two Tonne Tasmania Ziggurat Riesling

Slowly but surely, the Two Tonne Tasmania range is expanding.

This suite of releases know as Ziggurat are designed to be, "adventurous in winemaking style, creative and unique each year, but above all, they are fresh and textural."

The 2019 aromatic white is comprised of mostly Riesling (95%) which was fermented in barrel and in tank, and a dash of Gewürztraminer which was fermented on skins for a week.

It's a lifted, aromatic, white designed to be food-friendly or a delicious aperitif. The perfect all-rounder for the warmer months.

2019 Adelina Watervale Riesling

There are a pigeon-pair of Rieslings from the Clare Valley made by Col & Jen at Adelina.

The Watervale Riesling is traditionally a touch sweeter than the Polish Hill River. Col & Jen usually opting to leave a trace of sweetness in the finished wine for more approachability.

The 2019 release is smoking. It's drier than previous years, but the roundness and juiciness here is Clare Valley Riesling at it's mouthwatering best.

Balanced on a knife edge, this is a whip-smart Riesling release from the Adelina duo.

2019 Ravensworth Riesling

Those that have ever tasted the exquisite wines from the Clonakilla stable should know that most of them have been touched by the hands of Ravensworth owner/winemaker/butcher/purveyor of smoked meats, Bryan Martin.

The Ravensworth project is a chance for him to captain his own ship. The wines are some of the best value in the country.

This is a scintillating expression of Riesling. Nothing fancy (apart from a small component made in ceramic egg). Just amazing fruit made with a gentle and precise touch. This sits right alongside the best Rieslings in the Canberra region.

The demand for Bryan's wines escalates every year, and with great value wines like this coming from him so consistently, it's no wonder.

No, please mix it up! You can order wines in any quantity and variation you like. You can order 1 bottle or 50. We challenge you to make the ultimate mixed pack of wine!

Are there volume discounts?

No our pricing is aiming to the best in the market already. For very large orders (weddings etc) we are open to negotiating though. Just give us a call. How does the price match work?

Everyday Low & Consistent Pricing is something we strongly believe in. We want our customers to feel confident they are always getting the best price. If you see a price lower somewhere else let us know and we'll match it. We'll even retrospectively refund you if you have already purchased from us but you see a lower price somewhere later on. Our price match policy can be seen here.

I am trying to add more of a wine to my cart but it won’t let me?

This means we are running low on stock of that wine. So for example, if the website will only allow you to add 3 bottles and no more, then that is all we have of that particular wine. The good news is we may be able to order more for you. Just contact us on 1300 668 385 or hello@differentdrop.com and we'll organise the additional quantity for you.

Does Different Drop have a physical store?

No, not really. More of a warehouse/office. We do however offer a Click & Collect option from our warehouse in Ultimo, Sydney. Our warehouse address for Click & Collect is: F5A, 42 Wattle St, Ultimo, 2007

Can I special order a wine you do not sell?

If it’s doable, then we’ll make it happen. Just contact us directly via phone, chat or email and we’ll find out for you right away. Please note that in most cases special orders such as these will need to be in full case lots (6 or 12 bottles).
