2018 Unico Zelo Harvest Sauvignon Blanc
The Harvest wines by Unico Zelo are made with immediate drinkability in mind.
This Sauvignon Blanc was made in a loveable style.
Brendan and Laura looking to cram every ounce of Adelaide Hills freshness into this bottle. It's 'classic' Sauvignon Blanc, with ripe fruit and a hint of grassy character.
If you are looking for an easy drinking Sauv, this is going to hit the spot.Read more about 2018 Unico Zelo Harvest Sauvignon Blanc
2017 Yelland & Papps YP Vermentino
When you think of the Barossa Valley, Vermentino is probably not the first variety that comes to mind.
But given the warm climate of the Barossa, this variety seems to have found a couple of pockets where it feels like home.
The Yelland & Papps Vermentino is the classic 'drink me in the sun' wine.
It's fresh and zippy, a little savoury and offers a great alternative to the plethora of 'classic dry white' that is produced in Australia.Read more about 2017 Yelland & Papps YP Vermentino
2018 Woods Crampton White Label Riesling
The Woods Crampton White Label Riesling is their easy drinking, approachable style, and this may just be the finest release yet.
Sourced from three different Eden Valley vineyards that sit a little lower in altitude than the big brother High Eden Riesling, this wine has an approachability that its neighbouring Rieslings can often lack, with the amazing quality of the 2018 vintage providing extra thrust and flavour.
Great to drink now but will take kindly to some time in the cellar also.
Great buying for the Riesling lover.Read more about 2018 Woods Crampton White Label Riesling
2018 Gilbert Blanc
This is a delish little white made for approachability and slurpability.
This year's white blend is a bricolage of Pinot Gris, Riesling and Gewurztraminer. Sourced from the cool climate vineyards in Orange, this is an easy drinking expression of an Alsace style white.
The three super aromatic varieties just work so well together.
Lively and refreshing, this will be a picnicers delight and something perfect to have on hand for your next BYO expedition.Read more about 2018 Gilbert Blanc
2018 Dormilona Blanco
'Dormilona' is Spanish for 'lazy bones', a reference to a nickname winemaker Jo Perry was given in Spain. With Jo's wines it also refers to her 'lazy' hands-off winemaking approach, and even her 'laziness' in taking so long to launch her own label. We're glad she got there in the end!
This is a super little wine. Really fun drinking. It's Semillon, organically grown from Jo's vineyard in Willyabrup, Margaret River.
It's hand-picked as always, with a little bit of whole bunch, skin contact, lees stirring and time in older oak adding oodles of texture to what is inherently pure and zippy Semillon fruit.
Terrific value for interesting, yet smashable, modern Margaret River wine.Read more about 2018 Dormilona Blanco
2017 Domaine Naturaliste Discovery Chardonnay
After 20 years observing the area, Bruce Dukes decided all the Chardonnays from Domaine Naturaliste would be crafted entirely from the Gin Gin clone.
This is his best value, early drinking Chardonnay. A wine that seriously over delivers in the bang-for-your-buck stakes.
The 2017 received an insane 96 points from James Halliday and was named in his Top 100 Wines of 2018!
This is one of the best buys in all of Australian Chardonnay at the moment. You'd be mad not to.Read more about 2017 Domaine Naturaliste Discovery Chardonnay
