The vineyards of Domaine de Montbourgeau were planted in 1920 by current vigneron Nicole Deriaux's grandfather.

They are situated in one of the smallest appellations in the Jura near the village of L’Etoile. The vines are farmed organically, the wines are made gently, as is the local tradition. The wines emerging from Nicole's cellar are outstanding and some of the most precise and focused in the region.

With only just over nine hectares of vines at her disposal, Nicole's excellent iterations of Chardonnay, Savagnin, Trousseau and Poulsard are gaining plenty of attention despite her small production. It's an old producer with a new lease on life. Watch these wines fly as she continues to grow in reputation amongst the best producers of France's smallest wine region.
