One for the Grenache lover with a penchant for the prettier side of the variety. The fruit from this 60+-year-old vineyard in McLaren Vale has been carefully guided by winemaking husband and wife team Luke Growden and Caleigh Hunt into a lovely, delicate yet intriguing style of Grenache. With a judicious amount of whole bunch and a focus on fruit rather than oak, this is a vibrant expression that is impossible to stop drinking. As with all of Luke and Caliegh's wines, this was only a tiny production. They produced a mere 66 dozen of this wine, which is a terrible shame considering all its lovable qualities.

What it Tastes Like

Cloudy dark ruby colour in the glass. Rose petal, cinnamon, rhubarb, gentle natural feel. Feels unfettered. Plums and cherries. Good tension. Long fine sandy tannin and very good length. Plenty of personality and charisma. Cool Grenache.
