Willow Bridge’s ever-likeable ‘SBS’ blend is always one of the country’s true bargain white wines.
As in previous vintages it has all those lively, juicy citrus and tropical fruit flavours you’d expect, with distinct notes of grass, herbs and spice adding a really intriguing backdrop to the vibrant fruit.
With a small portion fermented in French oak (combination of new and old), there’s a subtle but noticeable texture and weight to the palate.
If you’re after a big, rich and intense white then this isn’t for you, but for an everyday-drinking house white you’d do well to find a similarly priced blend more balanced and downright drinkable!
What It Tastes Like
The nose is subtly tropical with distinct grassy and herbaceous notes. The palate is extremely fresh and lively, with citrus and tropical fruits. It has a lovely soft and round mouthfeel, with a crisp, citrusy finish.
94 points “Mainly tank-fermented, part in barrel. This has exceptional flavour and texture, the latter adding an edge to the fruit expression. The bouquet, too, is complex and edgy, pointing to fragrant herbs, capsicum and an overarching mix of citrus and tropical fruits.”

Estate grown from the spectacular hillside vineyard in the Ferguson Valley of the Geographe wine region, fruit is sourced from our Forrest and Power blocks which were planted in 1998.
The making of Dragonfly Sauvignon Blanc Semillon centres on capturing the fresh and alluring tropical and seasonal fruit flavours from the region.

Total Acidity: 6.4 grams per litre
Fermentation: Fresh, clear juice was fermented in tank to retain pristine fruit aromas and palate delicacy. Tank fermentation is maintained at less than 15 degrees celsius, and proceeds to dryness. The wine is bottled early to maintain pristine flavours.
