- The Home of Artisan Australian Wine!
Chenin Blanc is one of the world's most revered white grape varieties, but for whatever reason it has never caught on in Australia. It's a wonderfully versatile variety, capable of pure and juicy young wines, golden and honeyed aged wines, as well as both sweet and sparkling. In terms of drink-now styles, Willow Bridge do a lovely example. This is fresh and fruit-forward Chenin, and it's a brilliantly priced introduction to one of the world's more underrated grapes.
What it Tastes Like
The nose is full of aromas of apples and pears. The palate continues long this route but with hints of spice and nectar. It has a lovely round, fruit-sweet, almost subtly creamy mouthfeel, with crisp citrusy acidity cleansing the palate on the finish.
