About

Slowly but surely, the Two Tonne Tasmania range is expanding.

This suite of releases know as Ziggurat are designed to be, “adventurous in winemaking style, creative and unique each year, but above all, they are fresh and textural.”

The 2016 white is comprised of 88% Riesling which was fermented in barrel and 12% Gewürztraminer which was fermented on skins for two weeks.

It’s a lifted, aromatic, white designed to be food-friendly or a delicious aperitif. Add another string to the bow of Ricky Evans.

What It Tastes Like

“Well done this. Instantly savoury in perfume of grilled and blanched cashews, oatmeal, ripe citrus, brown lime, dried apple. The palate is a mesh of crisp and juicy, taunting with its faint savoury-nuttiness and rising on brisk, cool acidity and finishing with talc-like dryness. It’s lovely drinking, easy drinking, interesting drinking and a fanfare of layered flavours. Lots to like.” - Mike Bennie
