- The Home of Artisan Australian Wine!
The Bright Young Pink is a Pinot Noir Pet-Nat from natural winemaker Alex Schulkin and wife Galit.
It’s a fun and flighty Pet-Nat which doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s crisp and crunchy and ludicrously easy to drink.
In Alex and Galit’s words, “Probably the closest to grapefruit campari we’ve ever gotten.”
If you’re loving the zingy, zippy stylings of these natural fizzy wines, the Bright Young Pink will be right up your alley.
Only 70 dozen made.
What It Tastes Like
Slices of orange, tangerine, and guava set off at a cracking pace. It’s not too fizzy, more of a spritzy style than full-blown bubbly. It’s juicy and crazy refreshing. Yummo, feel like kicking back next to a pool with a chilled bottle of this, any day.
PINK PÉT-NAT. PINOT NOIR, MORIALTA, ADELAIDE HILLS Mainly Pinot Noir, with a splash of Chardonnay. Probably the closest to grapefruit campari we’ve ever gotten. Guava wedges, strawberry garnish and overall happy fruitfulness with slight spritz. No matter how rare sunny days are in your area this time of year, wait for one!

About the Producer
The Other Right
The Other Right is a fantastic artisan producer from McLaren Vale. Winemaker Alex Schulkin and his partner Galit are crafting clean, premium, natural wines from organically vineyards in the Vale and Adelaide Hills. The Wines are excellent examples of quality with a natural philosophy.
The Adelaide Hills may be the most energised wine region in the country. The sense of exploration and creativity amongst the tribe of talented young winemakers in this region is unparralelled. The Hills has become crucible of Australian wine talent, offering an array of varieties, from classics such as Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, to new varieties like Nebbiolo and Grüner Veltliner for the younger generation to play with. Every vintage brings new colour and complexity to the rich wine, food and produce culture of this cool climate region.
No variety captures the hearts and minds of the wine lover quite like Pinot Noir. It’s the unicorn of many a winemaker. Notoriously fickle to grow, this delicate red variety can deliver a kaleidoscope of flavours and aromas, from the bright and floral to the moody and mysterious and everything in between. The cooler regions of Australia are where Pinot Noir is most at home. Look to Tasmania and Victoria for the best examples, with some quality wines beginning to show from the Great Southern and from the cooler parts of NSW. Falling in love with Pinot Noir can be a life long affair, beware the charms of this most enchanting of grapes.
