- The Home of Artisan Australian Wine!
Sauv Blanc lovers, eat your hearts out!
The Lane Vineyard is one of our favourite Adelaide Hills producers and simply don’t make a bad wine. This wine isn’t Marlborough in style, and nor is it some heavily-worked and complex iteration. What it is though is a straight-up-and-down, fruit-filled Sauv Blanc that is just so very easy to knock back.
91 points from Campbell Mattinson, and just a great local alternative to Marlborough Sauv. Yum.
What It Tastes Like
“The fruit intensity here is very good. It’s all passionfruit and stonefruit, alive and willing, though unlike most wines in this style the mouthfeel/texture has a real softness to it. It makes it an easy wine to recommend.” - Campbell Mattinson (The Wine Front)

Whilst more time consuming, cane pruning Sauvignon Blanc vines provides consistent yields and vibrant flavours. The steep South facing slopes shelter the vines from late afternoon sun, keeping the refreshing citrus zest focussed and enhances the clean, mineral finish.

The Hills has become crucible of Australian wine talent, offering an array of varieties, from classics such as Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, to new varieties like Nebbiolo and Grüner Veltliner for the younger generation to play with.
