Samu is a relatively new project by Sam and Sally Underdown. The fruit for their vibrant South Australian label is grown by Sally's brother Ashley Ratcliff at Ricca Terra Farms, one of the country's most exciting vineyards when it comes to alternative varieties. This delicious blend of Nero d'Avola and Lagrein combines fun, easy drinking with a point of difference. It's a tasty modern Australian red blend and a great example of why these varieties are going to have a huge future in this country.

What it Tastes Like

Earthy, dusty and savoury flavours backed by sweet joyful fruit. It’s an interesting mash-up of tastes and smells but it works very well. It’s on the plump side of medium bodied - ripped with redcurrant acidity and a super spicy finish which really kicks at the end.
