About

Oliver's Taranga were the first winery in the country to plant the native Spanish variety Mencia on their home vineyard. As Corrina Wright (sixth generation proprietor/winemaker) explores this variety each year, her understanding and intuitions around the grape get deeper and deeper. The Rosé version is made with carbonic maceration, which as the winery explains:"basically means that the Chica is super lifted and delicious." QWine said "There's more summer loving here than John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John could ever sing about." which gives you a bit of insight into the style of Rosé. It's fun. It's frisky. It's downright delicious and a little bit different.

What it Tastes Like

"There's more summer loving here than John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John could ever sing about. Red flowers, watermelon, red currants and dried strawberries. Inviting aromas but it's the acidity that has me hooked - crunchy and clean. A dry wine with persistent fruit drive, there's plenty of sunshine and happiness in the glass. Drink now with friends and a barbeque within reach." - QWine
