Michael Downer is one of the brightest young winemaking talents in the Adelaide Hills. His Halfway Black Sauvignon Blanc is a modern, cleverly made version of this Hills staple variety. There's some time of skins, some barrel work - Michael looking for more complexity than what is usually found in the run-of-the-mill SB. This keeps its freshness but drags you in with a little edge of wildness. Just another great example of the skills of this rising young star with his classy home grown fruit.

Grown on the Murdoch Hill estate vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. Made with a more hands on winemaking approach, with one third fermented on skins another third fermented in barrel and the remaining tank fermented. This wines is about texture with underlying purity showcasing the elegance of Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc.
