Jared Dixon is seeking out some interesting varietals to take the wines of New England to the world. His Nebbiolo comes from the Topper's Mountain vineyard, managed by gun viticulturalist Mark Kirkby. The fruit was fermented wild and spent 5 months on skins slowly macerating and softening before being hand pressed through a basket press. This is a bright, lively Nebbiolo with structure and drinkability in equal portion. It's ready to go now. With only 60 dozen made, this will be here one minute, gone the next.

What it Tastes Like

Striking nose of decaying rose petals, rosehip tea, sweet earth, and cherry. Wafts from the glass with purpose. Nebb to the core. In the mouth is where it really picks up speed. Juicy, glorious tannins smashed beautifully with the fruit. So good to drink now. A little colour development for such a young wine, but that's all part of the charm. Cracking release for Nebb heads who want to get stuck into to something now.
