- The Home of Artisan Australian Wine!
Italian varieties are famous for is making unpretentious and easy-to-enjoy table wines. Here, winemaker Greg Grigoriou, goes in search of this style of wine - a kind of "don't think, just drink" kind of red. "I just wanted a juicy, easy-drinking red wine with something a little extra going on just under the surface." and he's done a very smart job of it. This is great value. The juiciness of the Nero d'Avola being tamed by the sleekness and savouriness of the Montepulciano. The Riverlands and Ashley Radcliff continues to be the haven for young winemakers looking for affordable, well grown fruit with some interest. All that is on show here in Roxanne the Razor.
What it Tastes Like
Redskins, and a dusty, earthen character. The fruit is bouncy but it's tempered by a drying, herbal character and a lashing of spice. The tannins a soft and slinky making it super easy to gulp down. Not a 'serious' wine but serious fun to drink.
Grown on the Ricca Terra Farms in the Riverlands.
