- The Home of Artisan Australian Wine!
Prosecco was the logical Sparkling for Coriole to add to their stable of excellent value wines. The Prosecco adds a high-quality fizzy treat to their Italian fleet. Rarely seen outside of their beautiful cellar door in McLaren Vale, this offers great drinking at a bargain price. Gary Walsh awarded the 2016 release 91 points, calling it "a very good Prosecco." Crisp, vivacious and playful, this is the perfect aperitif.
What it Tastes Like
"Carries a little more colour than some, then into floral, apple and almost an almond thing. It’s dry, well defined, offers a good amount of flavour, with a saline cracker flavour, and a pretty convincing finish. The bubble are playful without being over-bearing. Here’s a very good Prosecco." - Gary Walsh (The Wine Front)

Prosecco is the traditional Sparkling Wine of Northern Italy made from the grape of the same name. Unlike Champagne, Prosecco is made using the Charmat method, which is tank fermented as opposed to bottle. Prosecco is the lastest in the batch of Italian varieties to be released by Coriole - inspired by Tim Lloyd, young brother of Mark. It is a fresh and delicate style Sparkling wine... the perfect aperitif.

About the Producer
Coriole is a McLaren Vale instutution. One of the first in the country to expreiment with alternative varieties, they are true trailblazers of the industry and one of our favourite producers.
The South Australian region of McLaren Vale is famous for its powerful red wines. Shiraz and Grenache have thrived for years in the Vale’s sandy soils. Nowadays, the region’s varietal diversity has majorly increased, the coastal location and warm climate proving perfect for a new wave of varieties from Italy, Spain and Portugal. The success of varieties such as Nero d’Avola, Tempranillo, Touriga Nacional, and Fiano has transformed McLaren Vale into one of the country’s most vibrant wine scenes. It’s where tradition meets innovation and it is producing some of the Australia’s finest wines.
