The name NYMPH suits this wine so well. It's a spritely, pixie-like white blend of some often overlooked varieties growing in McLaren Vale. Brad and Nicole Hickey thought it would be a good idea to bring a few of these varieties together and see what they could do. The fruit was harvested separately then brought together in the winery to ferment together. The grapes that make up NYMPH are Chenin Blanc, Semillon, Viognier and Riesling, all the varieties come from different homes but come together as one tasty little family in this release. Mike Bennie noted, "there’s a wild character that keeps you eyeing off the glass." It seems to skip through the mouth with insane refreshment in toe. If you're looking for a peek into the wonderful world of the Brash Higgins, this would be on the top of my list of where to start.

Our first vintage is a colourful white blend of Chenin Blanc, Semillon, Viognier and Riesling from four different McLaren Vale vineyards picked over 48 hours. Hand picked during a busy period in the winery, during an even busier 2016 vintage, all the fruit was de-stemmed back at HQ and fermented together.

Brash Higgins is the label of winemaking ‘yank’ Brad Hickey. With a background as one of America’s top sommeliers, Hickey came to Australia and fell in love with McLaren Vale and local vigneron Nicole Thorpe, with whom he now produces highly characterful, minimalist wines from their much-loved Omensetter vineyard. Wildly original and top quality stuff!
