About

In 2016 Brendan Keys and Gareth Belton (Gentle Folk) split the fruit from this highly prized, biodynamically grown Syrah vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. 2016 was a sensational year for Syrah in the region, the fruit quality as high as it has been in 10 years. Brendan cashed in on the season. There was only a small amount of this made, which is a pity. It's a classic, ethereal Syrah which Brendan describes as "Traditional Rhône characteristics of mulberry and oyster shell with a white-pepper tang." It's one of those wines where everything came together perfectly for BK. One of his finest to date.

What it Tastes Like

Seducing perfume of sweet mulberries dusted with pepper spice. Fresh picked violets and lavender add some breathy high notes. Soft, sumptuous fruit eeks through the mouth. Tannins like velvet with a savoury twist to their taste. It's a smooth, glossy ride from beginning to end. Magic.
