About

Dan Standish is a Barossa winemaker for a new generation. Each release from 2015 is could go toe-to-toe with any of the country’s finest. Shiraz fans, get at these wines while you can. These are special wines.

The 2015 The Standish Shiraz is made from fruit farmed by the Standish family. The vines planted in Vine Vale in 1912 deliver a devastating level of enrichment and concentration for Dan to work with. He brings the wine to fruition in impeccable fashion.

This received 96 points from Gary Walsh, the sheer quality and depth of this Shiraz is nothing short of remarkable. Limited allocations available. Barossa fans, this is a cellar essential.

What It Tastes Like

“Black fruit, liquorice, earth, grilled meat with pepper, dried roses, vanilla and exotic spices. Full bodied, rich and ripe, but savoury and controlled, thick with sooty and pleasantly raw-edged tannin, dense brooding flavour, a pulse of fresh acidity, then tannin and tar ‘n spice rolling into the long finish, and a surprising lingering mouth-perfume of roses and plums. Lots of layers here, and a more ‘natural’ feel than many Barossa Shiraz. It’s pretty bloody good.” - Gary Walsh (The Wine Front)
