What it Tastes Like
Warm scents of blackcurrant, gum leaf, mint and toast. Fine chocolatey tannins dust the mouth, the fruit is the real star here. Generous oak helps frame the fruit nicely. It's flavoursome and immediately appealing. Good stuff.

Tasting notes An elegant Cabernet Sauvignon displaying prominent blackcurrant flavours combined with savoury spice and fine tannins. Winemaking We source fruit from a selection of vineyards through out the lower warmer Yarra Valley. Our aim is to produce a quintessential Yarra Valley Cabernet that demonstrates the trade mark sweetness of blackcurrant fruit. This is accompanied by savoury, herbal notes and cedar on the palate. The sweet clip of new oak integrates well with the ripe, fleshy fruit while fine, soft acidity creates excellent length. This wine will age elegantly and the fine grained tannins will diligently come to the fore. 8.3 standard drinks - 14% alcohol

Soumah’s iconic “duck egg blue” label has become synonymous with Yarra Valley quality. They produce small amounts of high-quality Yarra Valley staple varieties including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah but one of their more interesting preoccupations is with the much talked about Savagnin grape. As they continue to push the envelope of their winemaking capabilities and drill down into the nuance to be found in clonal selection, they are steadily raising their standing amongst the best producers in the Region.
