Since 2003, the Shaw + Smith M3 Chardonnay has been their flag bearer for premium quality Chardonnay. Sourced predominantly from their Lenswood vineyard, this meticulously farmed plot produces exquisite fruit, especially in a season as good as 2015. The winemaking behind the M3 is very classic. The fruit is chilled, whole-bunch pressed to oak and matured for 9 months prior to bottling. The quality of the fruit left to do the talking. The 2015 took home the Trophy for Best Chardonnay at the 2016 Adelaide Hills Wine Show.

Poise. Balance. Intensity. The wine has it all. Inside an athletic frame flavours of white peach, nectarine and lemon biscuits drive through the mouth. Oak judged and integrated beautifully. Acid bell clear and yet unobtrusive. A stylish Chardonnay of modern build but classic power.

Sourced predominantly from the Shaw + Smith vineyard in Lenswood. All fruit is hand picked. Bunches were chilled over night then whole-bunch pressed and fermented in new and old French oak. Nine months in oak with some lees stirring. Two months on lees in tank prior to bottling.
