Rosé made with intention is a wonderful thing. This Rosé comes from the skilled hands of Paul Scorpo. It's made from Pinot Noir grown on his meticulously maintained site in Mornington Peninsula. The 2015 received 94 points from James Halliday and 93 points from the Wine Front's Mike Bennie, mutual kudos coming from two of the sharpest wine writers in the game. It's delicate and dry, with savoury notes adding intrigue. Safe to say, this is the very model of modern, complex Rosé that keeps drinkability at the fore.
What it Tastes Like
"Pale garnet coloured, pretty to look at. Dive into watermelon and raspberry scents, whiffs of floral things, sniff of tobacco and spice. Light in red berry and spice flavour but has fullness of texture to back it up – indeed, delicacy is refreshing and an asset. Light chew of tannins seals the deal. Rose lovers apply here." - Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)
94 points. "It's pippy and spicy and strawberried, its pale salmon colour at one with its savoury/elegant personality. Cracks of fennel build on the charm." - James Halliday (Australian Wine Companion) 93 points "I really, really like good rose. Not a bad thing having Paul Scorpo at the helm of one. Pinot noir is the grape used, but that is by-the-by. Pale garnet coloured, pretty to look at.
Vibrant salmon pink in colour this wine exhibits musk, raspberry, strawberry and rose petals on the nose. The palate is generous yet focused with musk, truffles and wild berries. Clean, crisp acid finish, with a hint of fine tannin.

About the Producer
The Scorpo family has wine in their blood. Their heritage is littered with vino from Sicily, Sardinia and now the fertile soils of Mornington Peninsula. The wines are all grown on the family owned estate, meticulously managed and made by the patriarch, Paul. The wines are made in small quantities always put quality first and foremost.
The Mornington Peninsula has become a go-to destination for lovers of modern Australian Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Mornington’s perfect climatic conditions for producing these varieties has seen it become, in only a relatively short time, one of the premier regions for these varieties in the country. The wines are beautiful. The best examples are wines which show a restrained power. Both intensity and elegance. It’s a region which will continue to blossom and mature for many years to come.
No variety captures the hearts and minds of the wine lover quite like Pinot Noir. It’s the unicorn of many a winemaker. Notoriously fickle to grow, this delicate red variety can deliver a kaleidoscope of flavours and aromas, from the bright and floral to the moody and mysterious and everything in between. The cooler regions of Australia are where Pinot Noir is most at home. Look to Tasmania and Victoria for the best examples, with some quality wines beginning to show from the Great Southern and from the cooler parts of NSW. Falling in love with Pinot Noir can be a life long affair, beware the charms of this most enchanting of grapes.
