The Chalmers family are largely responsible for the boom of Italian grape varieties in Australia, and their Montevecchio range is all about utilising their nursery of varieties to create approachable, no-fuss blends for easy enjoyment. This 'Bianco' is a co-fermented field blend of Vermentino, Fiano and a small percentage of Moscato Giallo - all from the Chalmers Heathcote vineyard. It's fresh and fruit-driven but with ample savoury nuances, with these three Italian grapes working very nicely in unison. 90 points from Campbell Mattinson _("a delicious drink, interesting, textural, with lots of spark")_, and outstanding value for money.

What it Tastes Like

"This is an easy wine to recommend. It feels and tastes good, and then finishes with a confident burst of flavour. Stonefruit, spice, chalk and wax. There’s a musky, floral, almost rosewater-like character here – which does nothing but add appeal. It’s a delicious drink, interesting, textural, with lots of spark." - Campbell Mattinson (The Wine Front)
