This Pinot Noir from Michael Hall shows the depth of fruit flavour that can be found in Pinot from the higher altitude vineyards in the Adelaide Hills. A quarter of this release was fermented as whole bunches giving a little extra grunt and drive to the structure. It is full flavoured Pinot Noir of great impact and depth. A bold Pinot Noir with serious charisma.

Hand-picked, 77% destemmed to open fermenter and 23% whole bunch barrel fermented, pressed to barrel, 11 months in French Oak (6% new). The precious grapes for this wine come from distant lands far to the south-east: the elevated vineyards of South Australia's Adelaide Hills. 2015 was an early vintage due to poor winter rains and a warm spring. Rain in early January brought respite and 4 weeks of ideal, cool weather.
