Their biodynamically grown vineyards are the envy of many in the region; full of vitality, producing consistently cracking fruit, year in year out.
Riesling is truly one of the rockstar varieties of the Canberra wine district. The Lark Hill version is a smashing example of why.
It is fair to say there is a fair amount of hubbub in the industry around the 2015 vintage for Canberran wineries, in fact Lark Hill went so far as to say, “2015 may be remembered as one of the great vintages in Canberra; with great fruit intensity, higher-than anticipated yields and above all else, incredible fruit quality.”
The proof is in the pudding and this wonderful, intense and beguiling Riesling is good enough proof for us.

2015 may be remembered as one of the great vintages in Canberra; with great fruit intensity, higher-than anticipated yields and above all else, incredible fruit quality. The story of how Gruner Veltliner came to be at Lark Hill is an interesting one, and a brave one.
It started with renowned wine writer Jancis Robinson remarking that the variety would be well suited to their site in the Canberra district. An obsession with the grape, and with biodynamic farming, soon followed.
